Our research group has been exploring the anionic ROP of cyclic siloxanes and epoxides in water using strong phosphazene bases (e.g. P₄) in conjunction with surfactants. These polymerization systems share many characteristics with other related systems based on metal hydroxides and we will be reporting our results in the peer reviewed literature towards the end of this year.
